The database for systematically organizing and storing all of the clues to your ancestry that you have discovered over the years. Clooz is NOT just another genealogy program.  It is an electric filing cabinet that assists you with search and retrieval of important facts that you have found during the ancestor hunt.

Version 2.1 requires Windows XP and works in compatibility mode on Windows Vista.

What's New in Clooz 2.1!

The new version includes, in addition to the existing templates of version 1.23:

Under census substitutes, in addition to directories (of which there are now four types--religious, farm, school, and population) and Irish Valuation, there are the following forms:

Under documents, in addition to the existing selections, there are also:

• Birth Record
• Deed
• Marriage Record
• Naturalization
• Passenger List, Early

In addition to photos, there is an entry for Maps. The source templates are designed following the writings of Elizabeth Shown Mills in her book Evidence!

And, there is a Research Log. In addition to your People list, you can add businesses to a Business list. And, there is a Building form that you can use to document house histories.

The program has been completely rewritten in Visual Basic .Net, but still uses a Microsoft Access database to store your data (and a Legacy Family Tree database is also used for storing data--there are actually two databases for your data now). Your data currently in your database will be completely imported into the appropriate places in the new program, although you may need to do some tweaking for some of the new forms. And, most significantly, there is a GEDCOM import. No more ASCII text imports. Clooz works directly with Legacy Family Tree. If you're already using the program, you'll be able to convert to using Legacy and Clooz together.
